The Dutch Grand Prix was a “girls-only” event as we were missing my son-in-law who was battling a nasty virus. We enjoyed a cozy viewing that brought back Caitlin’s memories of her recent trip to Amsterdam. We dipped into a warm, melty fondue, sharing bites while cheering on the race. To round things out, we treated ourselves to a spread that added a little extra Dutch-inspired indulgence to the day with creamed herring, Stroopwafels, a refreshing Flying Dutchman cocktail and a delicious Dutch boterkoek (butter cake) that could very well win the best dessert of 2025 award. Bizzy, Maureen’s senior rescue, kept her dad’s seat warm and we look forward to Jamey being back to good health for Monza. Alla salute!
