What an exciting last ten minutes to the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, a sure sign that the season is going to be a compelling one. It was the perfect occasion to enjoy some traditional Italian fare and for Maureen and Allie to entertain us with phrases mastered while in Italy. We started our meal with a Walnut and Pear Salad, a signature dish from Lucia’s in Roswell. It brought back many memories as the restaurant was a family favorite, a fitting homage on what would have been Kevin’s 70th birthday weekend. A veggie lasagna, air fryer artichoke hearts, bruschetta, an olive oil dipping sauce with fresh bread from the Alpharetta Farmer’s Market and Ciambellone, a classic Italian breakfast cake. Caitlin, our master mixologist, plied us with refreshing Aperol spritzes and Limoncello spritzes. The PBC (Perfect Bite Club) honors went to toasted bread with artichoke, bit of garlic mayo and tomato with bruschetta juice, all topped with Parmesan cheese. It was a big, delicious bite, perhaps the best the season! #f1 #emiliaromagnagrandprix2024 #luciasitalianrestaurant #alpharettafarmersmarket
